Coach Samson Siasia, said the Dream Team VI has been ceded in the group of death in the upcoming All African Games following the draws that held on Thursday, July 9, in Egypt.
Nigeria is in group B, which consists of the defending champions, Ghana, Egypt and Senegal. The AAG, will be held in Congo-Brazzaville, later in September this year.
The coach immediately made an expression after the draw for the tournament and said: “Waow! This is a group of death. Why are we all thrown in the same group?
“This is a very difficult group. Every team in this group has the potential to win the All Africa Games.
“Well, we are ready but every game in this group would be difficult. And we would approach each one like a final. I can assure you that anyone who makes it out of this group is top favourite to win the gold.”
Nigeria, last won the football showpiece, when the country hosted the All African Games in 1973.
Meanwhile, Watford FC striker and Nigeran international, Odion Ighalo has revealed his intentions to remain in the English premiership after his club got promoted from the championship league.
