Doctor Eva Carneiro departs from Chelsea

Following criticism from Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, Doctor Eva Carneiro has departed from the club, six weeks on from her highly-publicised dispute with the Portuguese coach.

Mourinho had described the club's medical staff "impulsive and naive" for not responding quick enough in the opening day 2-2 draw with Swansea.

Carneiro and physio Jon Fearn treated Eden Hazard with minutes remaining of the game, leaving the Blues temporarily down to 10 men.

The Doctor was then removed from her position on the Chelsea bench by Mourinho and told to instead work with the players at the Cobham training ground.

Carneiro is reported to have stayed away from the club since the incident on August 8 and posted a message of thanks to well wishers on Facebook two days after the game.
