The Film Producers Association of Ghana have
threatened to go into production of explicit movies if the television
stations, who show foreign soaps with explicit scenes, do not desist
from the act.
According to the Public Relation Officer of FIPAG, Ola Micheals, during an interview with Black I on the Daybreak Hitz FM programme, stating that the contents were discouraging and is contributing to the proliferation of explicit movies.
In his words, “If we can’t tame the TV stations, let the producers also produce p^rn* movies, and let’s move on,” he said.
Ola said, it seems the broadcasting industry has no law governing the industry paving way for television stations to show foreign soaps without editing.
“You look at the kissing and the fondling scenes and ask yourself if I put this thing in our movies will it be allowed,” he quizzed.
