Official confirmation that The Voice judges, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton,
were dating came right before the Country Music Awards—just in time for
all of Blake’s fellow country singers to weigh in on the subject.
Blake’s ex-wife, country superstar, Miranda Lambert,
didn’t directly speak to the news but in her acceptance speech for
winning Female Vocalist of the Year, she did allude to the personal
struggles she recently endured.
At the podium, Lambert seemed to reference her divorce from Shelton by
saying when she received her trophy, “Man, I appreciate it. I needed a
bright spot this year, so thank you.”
As for Blake Shelton’s buddy, Luke Bryan, he was completely floored at the news, initially refusing to believe the two were a couple when interviewed by E!’s Carissa Loethen. He told E!:
It can’t be true, because there’s no way Blake could ever score a girl like that. It’s not true.
Sounds like Luke and Blake need to keep in better touch.
